Hello,

Can anyone post up a few recommendations on a good pair of XLR cables in the sub $500 range? Are there any low priced gems out there that perform above and beyond what their cost would lead you to believe?

Also, what has your experience been with using XLR cables verses a set of good RCA cables in the same league as MIT's Avt1 series? I know if you are using a fully balanced piece of equipment the XLR's "should" make it sound better but what has been your experience on this?

Thanks

Slightly over your budget (just $10), but i am very pleased with the Ridge Street Audio Designs Poiema cable.
Silver cable with natural insulation. Starting at $510 for balanced interconnects (XLR).

For your price you can get the Audioquest Cheetahs with 36V DBS. However any of the used DBS Audioquest cables are very nice. I prefer there silver cables.
Another very good cable that can be picked up off auction on Audiogon are the Bogdan Goldys. probably win some for less than $250.
