Balanced out from source direct into balanced headphones??

Hi, I recently acquired a AMC CD6b (CD Player) which has balanced out... can I connect it directly to my balanced headphones?? if so, how to control the volume.. will it damage my headphones??

A balanced line out has no volume control, and will not drive adequately your headphones. Unless your CDP has an amplified balanced out, of course.
