Hello everybody

I'm debating going balanced, and would appreciate feedback on whether either of the above cans do or don't benefit particularly much from doing so (JVC HP-DX1000 and Ultrasone Edition 9 - my two favorite phones at the moment).

As to amping, I've just picked up a Singlepower Harmony XLR, but am awaiting a balanced-to-SE adapter to give it a listen. I was planning on just running it that way for now, but having read through some posts on the benefits of going balanced, it made me wonder whether it's worth considering going all the way with my favorite phones, and maybe investing in another balanced amp depending upon how the Harmony sounds.

Also, what does one do with all of their favorite unbalanced amps when they go balanced? I've got a couple that I love- a SP extreme (in for repairs, as are most

), a Lisa III, Corda Opera (like it, don't love it), others. Do they just end up in the FS/FT forum?

THANKS

Ira
