I have gone through 3 pairs of IEM a bunch of tips and I'm still getting a super bad-muffled fit on my left ear! I guess IEMs are not for me anymore..? Any suggestions? I'll have to move to on-ear when on the go :frowning2:

Yeah. I have problems with many IEMs getting a good fit. For example, most over ear style IEMs don't work well for me.

Also, some people find that they need to use different sized tips for the left and right ear. Have you tried that?

Finally, foam tips can sometimes help with seal problems.

My shure se215 is the closest thing to a good fit with the olive tips but I bought the im70 and I just couldn't get a good fit plus they were too big and painful to wear. I bought the VSD5 and I've used the double flared (excuse if I wrote that wrong) and all the other tips they included, I'm going to try and do the different tip size thing to see if that works. My left ear always feels weird fit-wise compared to the right, as if I have to be constantly adjusting the fit while listening.

Thanks for replying and excuse if I make a mistake, English is not my main language.

That definitely might help.

English is my primary language and I make plenty of mistakes :)

If it's getting muffled in one ear it's likely that your left canal has a shape that compresses the eartip. Find a shorter tip that will fit your IEM, or a triple flange since the end section is a small sized tip. If that doesn't help the only option for isolation is a custom IEM.
