And I'm deciding between the MX550 for $30, or the HD202s for $50.
Please help me decide. I realize I can probably get the HD202's on eBay for about $20, but I want to make sure I can get the 2 year warranty on them.

Well, I think the 202's are better. Simply becuase they more expensive, bigger, and isolate. However, there's nothing wrong witht he Mx550's, so if you dont like the size, go for them.

The HD202 have been stated as having a muddy bottom end, but the new HD201 is getting pretty good reviews.
I'd have a look at this thread before purchasing the HD202's -->> Sennheiser HD201s kick ass.

Also the price is killer cheap!

I don't have any recommendations, but here is another site in Canada: MiniDisc Canada

They sell the HD202s for $10 cheaper. Check postal charges with both sites before ordering. I've never done business with them so I can't make a recommendation on them.

This seems to be the consensus, though only speculation on my part so far.
Going by the experiences of some trusted resources- I would definitely look into the 201 vs. 202 before making a purchase.

There's not much $ at stake, so no need to spend too much time deliberating.
