OK. I got to thinking: I'm sending in my Pioneer Elite DV-59AVi to ModWright LLC by October 1st, 2004. What about upgrading BPT BP.Jr II Ultra? So, I went to the B-P-T website and I found this page: http://www.b-p-t.com/upgrades.html !

I sent an e-mail to Mr. Chris Hoff inquiring as to whether the Signature Upgrade can be applied to the BP. Jr. II Ultra. If he says it can be done, then I am doing it by November / December 2004. Why? I firmly believe that the quality of power is fundamental to a HI-FI reference system. The quality of power delivered to each component is critical. In fact, I recently upgraded the electricity in my home and noticed an immediate improvement in clarity and blackness between notes. Also, I plugged my components directly to the wall without my BPT BP.Jr II Ultra power conditioner and it was just terrible. I got a lot of background hum/hiss and whenever electrical devices such as computers or air conditioners turned on, I heard it. It ruined the music.

So, this is my last upgrade to my reference system for 2004. 2005 is another year!

Chris Hoff just replied to my e-mail with an affirmative answer -- he said the Signature Upgrade is available for my BPT BP.Jr II Ultra but it only costs $500 USD because mine is the smallest BPT power conditioner. That alone accounts for a $200 USD savings but I'll still get all of the aforementioned upgrades though it will be a tight fit inside my unit. I am going to do it. It is more affordable and I will work very hard and budget very carefully to allow for this upgrade before 2004 ends.

Its a shame they don't offer the BPT jr anymore. I was really nice for those who did not require a large bank of outlets. It was perfect to use as a power conditioner for a digital front end. Now the smallest item they have is the BPT1 with 10 outlets.

Hmmph. I didn't even notice that but you're right! The BP.Jr II Ultra is just perfect for a dedicated headphone system. It's small, relatively lightweight, and upgradeable. Totally meets my needs. With the less expensive upgrades, it will handily exceed my desires too!

Yeah, I just noticed the missing BP-Jr as well. That's too bad for the people just getting into headphones, it really was the best value in system upgrades in any category, as far as I'm concerned. I love mine.

Welly, while you're at it, why not ask Chris if you get your Jr upgraded to one of his Lo-No transformers?

Boooo, hissss! That BP-Jr deserves the best. Besides, I want to know if it's possible for my own future plans...
