I am putting this in the wrong forum I suspect but I feel more at home in the meat and potatoes creators section and thought a few of you might better appreciate this tidbit. As some of you may Know PPL has been staying with us in seattle for the last two weeks . A simple working vacation. Today he laid in my hands our first PPA proto and said "thats yours".

This is a conglomeration of many years of Knowledge and passion for this field. In the many years I've Known ppl there has not been one moment I have seen him away from his art. This is not a stretch of the truth by any means.

When PPL first told me of this little beauty I was in absolute shock that he would GIVE such a thing to anyone. It isn't the best of ppl but it is this kind of technology any company would keep under lock and key by penalty of law type stuff. And here it is for you to have and hold for your very own. It is nothing to put one of these things together compared to the capabilities of the average human mind and body. But when you are done you will hold in your solder burned little hands a gem any geek worth its salt will froth over.

This Project that many may build Could well be the only one you will ever need for years to come and a measuring stick for any in its class and few above it. This is of course based on a full build of the circuit and not a stripped down version many may be currently contemplating.

It will IMHO deliver greater performance than any portable and many home units. I realize this is a bold statement on my part but damn this thing is so freakin smooth.

If you need a real review you should look elsewhere. It could be construed as biased. (see profile)

I really only wanted to pay homage to a truly generous and great friend. I would hope many of you could find such a relationship with such a world class DIY'r

Thank you Tangent and Morsel for bringing forth the energy and resources to allow this project to make it to these fine peeps. You both are truly a benefit to all who reside here.

Peace all

PS: I am the individual who hosted the tiny meet in Seattle area a week ago. Erik343 started a thread on it if you would like a quick review of the PPA. Picks of my baby are on the way today. Getting engraving done.

Grats on your PPA prototype, B_D, and thanks for your kind words. That was very generous of PPL. We should have a status update in a week or two. I'm waiting for PPL to return from his soiree in Seattle.
