OOooooooh cool. Those might also be the priciest vintage Stax I've ever heard of. It'd look awesome to retrofit them with wooden uh...driver enclosures? I bet a retrofitted pair could go for $3.5k.... I should take out a loan on...everything I own I guess....and build that.

I am not sure. Theoretically, unless the fridge noise had exactly the same components as the music at the same moment in time, it should be possible null the fridge noise dramatically without affecting the music.

I say it's worth a try to mock-up a suitable circuit and drive it with a flux capacitor and wait until this baby hits 88 dB / hour and you're gonna hear some serious music!

The fan and compressor are prolly 50-500hz. If it was out of the range of the music you wouldn't hear it

I was actually considering that! But NC always produces weird effects.

Unless it is very well implemented....yep. I'm too cheap to build an NC rig anyway--I'd need to use a good mic or...welll....multiple actually...and that would run me a load of money. Plus, I've always found NC to produce a very weird pressure, like you have a head cold.
