Hi to all
I have been away from you guys for several years so I need to catch up. In a nutshell I have a Senn. 650 w/ Zu cable and an original LaRocco PPA amp (is Larry still around and how is my PPA considered - still up to snuff?).
I really do not use my cans much at all since I have a full blown reference Naim system/Linn turntable and prefer to do my listening that way.
Since becoming immersed in the Naim sound (PRAT-PRAT and more PRAT) I realize that the Sennheisers are boring. Grado's seem like they might be closest to giving me a Naim sound. Considering that I do not listen to headphones much should I give a pair of SR60's a try or bite the bullet and step up to the SR225's? Or should I try something else (non Grado). Can an iPod drive these directly (or what is the latest and greatest in portable amps?)(although I don't really want to buy one).
A lot of questions!
Regards to all
Gregg
PS music is primarily late 60's early 70's Southern Soul - driving horn beat and also slow ballads with the Hammond B3
