OK, I finally managed to download a program that would let me mash my nice JPEG file down to a measly 75 x 75 pixels. The Windows Paint on my stupid setup won't do it...

So the handsome fellow is Descartes, Des-Cartes = daycart

Get it? No? Oh well,......

You can get Paint to downsize it, you just can't directly specify the pixel numbers. You have to downsize by percentage, then check the file attributes to see what pixel sizes its currently at.

it does an ugly job at resizing it though. better off downloading a demo of an adobe program, or paint shop pro like rmszero suggested.

Thanks, folks. Perhaps I was stupidly missing something, but adusting the bitmap, and adjusting the pixels (in advanced attributes), and dragging the border all resulted in getting just the upper lefthand corner of the pic. And the "percent size" function only offered enlargement--I have Windows 98.
