av710 vs juli@ soundwise?

dont care about the money..but then again when connected to a dac and if the av710 performs its job just as well as the juli@, why get a juli@?

Because Windows drivers of Juli@ are more flexible and stable. If you're going to use your rig solely for stereo reproduction (as I do), you can safely get AV-710, set it to bit-pefect NOS KS and do all the adjustments thru Foobar. However, if you want to hook up a mike or any input, or play games you'll be better off with Juli@

yea just decided to get sell off my xtrememusic, and invest in an av710+lite dac-am :d

AV-710 dont have a coaxial out. so go with Juli@, the coaxial out put is much better then optical out of AV710. i've owned both cards.

Coax issue is ground noise, optical issue is jitter. There COULD be a difference in the digital out, but if your DAC is reclocking (most are) and your IC is not too long, I doubt coax could be "much better". I mean I just doubt, I never intentionally compared digital out of any 2 cards...
