Cool! Looks like I will be getting a new version for review. Looking forward to it.

Hi, is this the same amp that they were going to send me a sample as well? Thanks.

Almost certainly, yes. I've had the defective one in a drawer for months. Glad there is finally a working version.

Kinda resurrecting an old thread. But av123 has the x-head on sale for $159 with free shipping and a 30-day money back guarantee (they will pay for return shipping too).

I'm in for one to try it out and see how I like it with my sextetts. Cheers!

How do you like the amp overall? Any major shortcomings or problems?

I haven't spent a lot of time with it as I have a better amp. It came free with some speakers. I would say though from my limited time with it that it is a great budget amp. It's not going to redefine the budget realm by any stretch, but it's a good versatile amp that sounds good and is capable of driving full size cans. I don't like the way it looks, and I'm not a fan of the push button volume, but for the price it's a great product and would make for a nice bedside setup with two outputs
