Not to mention Addicted to Audio who are ridiculously expensive. We get seriously screwed here in Oz.

I don't find A2A expensive at all. They provide a great range of products and fantastic customer service. However im glad to see more Headphone stores in australia, more competition and headphone/audiofile awareness can not be a bad thing!

Well I have to disagree. I just got the Denon AH-D600 for $275.00 as opposed to $599.00. Read into that what you will. Then you have the Schiit pricing - pun intended.

Where did you get the AH-D600s from then? I happen to know they don't make a ton of money of some if not most products, (australia tax etc etc) plus good luck getting some brands else where eg Audeze as they are the official importer for Australia, any other store selling Audeze are using gray imports. I guess it doesn't really matter, don't like them don't shop there. :)

I do shop there, and I do like them. Just recently spent nearly a grand on FIIO/NAD gear with them. Other brands I'll import myself as many others do. I got the Denons from DWI HK with local 12 month warranty. I'm sure they are making a profit as well. Sure not as much but they are a high volume low margin retailer. No way was I paying $599.00!!

Cheers.

Just had an awesome experience with the guys at the Melbourne store today!

I used to like A2A, but after dealing with them a bit today, they can be a little snobby at times...I really liked Jaben today as they were really down to earth, and I got a great deal.

Best of luck!
