Hi all,
This is Shrayan from India. While I'm not an audiophile by any means, but I like good music, and good gears for them. I keep following Head-fi for related informations. My taste for music ranges from classical (both Indian & Western), Pops, Rocks, and probably every genre exists (except hard metal rocks), but mostly music with more emphasis on vocals.

Currently I'm in search of a pair of Bluetooth over-ear headphones (because I don't find in-ears that comfortable to use, and the JBL on ears I have kept slipping all the time on some quick movements of head). I will mainly use it for travel & all, and for the price I'm definitely not willing to break the bank. Planning to use it with the Fiio x1 ii/ my cellphone - ASUS Zenfone Max 2016 Edition... will prefer to stay on the comfortable side of $100 (lesser is obviously better, provided it gives decent quality).

Shortlisted the Ausdom m05, Ausdom ANC & Archeer AH07 according to the budget and availability... but did not find enough convincing headfi ratings or number of reviews for them, while most youtube reviews felt biased and not much have been said about the sound quality. At some point thinking of buying all, but again 3 of them, and of the more-or-less similar quality will be an waste of money. The Archeer looks beautiful & are also foldable, but the odd shaped earcups & less number of reviews on head-fi are going against it, on the other hand though the Ausdoms has nice round earcups & more reviews, but some complaints regarding its muffled highs and non-foldable design makes it less suitable for portability. I don't really need the ANC features, specially if that comes for additional $50.

So, as you can guess, I'm really confused here. So, any inputs/ other recommendations will be appreciated regarding this. Criterias for my needed wireless headphones in a nutshell -

1. It shouldn't sound bad to my ears which are habituated with Ath-m40x cans for last 2 year paired with fiio x1 DAP - while some more base & sub-base will be welcomed, but highs, mids & trebles should be preserved very well. The most important criteria here

2. Budget - sub-$100

3. Preferably foldable (as almost my 100% use will be outdoors)

4. Not so importantly - good looking & less bulky (well, who doesn't like a good-looking headphone to pair with their fancy dresses while going outside)

Regards & thanks in advance.

No suggestions till now?
I'm so much confused because low end BT headphones provide more emphasis to base & that also bleeds in the mids & highs, but being a person who prefers clarity & fidelity over the base, I'm hesitant to buy something that will not suit my taste of music. My ath-m40x (bought for around 70 USD 2 years back) keeps me very pleased with my kind of music, and I expect something closer in terms of sonic signature.

Hey,
This is Sashank also from India and I have Shortlisted these two headphones too. I placed an order on AliExpress for Archeer AH07 and am currently waiting for them. I am starting to have second thoughts about those.
Hope someone will solve this dilemma.

Hi Sashank, its nice to see another Indian sharing my exact same dilemma, as you can understand the situation better than anyone else.

About the Chinese headphones, durability is what concerns me most though. There are absolutely no service centre for any of those brands in India for them, and if something goes wrong I'm doomed... and 40 Dollars are still not very cheap considering the USD to INR rate.

I have finally decided to save up and go for a Sennheiser Momentum/ Urbanite over ear wireless headphones, as even if I import them in case of a good deal, because there is at least one Sennheiser service centre in my city who can repair it against some cost if needed.

If you can live with on-ear headphones (which I don't like) Mee Audio Wave & Jabra Move are options to consider for around 4 - 6k for decent sound quality.

The reason for considering these two in the first place was because they were over ear.I am not a fan of on ear style.I think the Sennheiser momentum is a great choice considering that you have the money.
Anyway it was nice talking to you.

I'm pretty certain that the AH07 is the same as these re-branded.

Impressive review despite inflated price. Only in norwegian, but translating using Google translate will give you keypoints

Please let us know how is the sound quality compared to any standard wired headphones most of us here are habituated of using - like Audio Technica M20/30/40/50 or, any model of Sennheiser HD series (201/225/439/555/558/598 etc.). Also if you have any other Bluetooth headset/ can arrange any for a comparison of Sound Quality that would be great.

I'm rather curious about the Archeer, but at the same time afraid, as most of my listening being in HD598 & Ath-m40x I don't get too disappointed with the SQ. Eagerly waiting for your update regarding that headphone.

Thanks a lot man. The review was short but helpful. But, I'm actually looking for its comparative review with other BT Headphones of its league, also with our everyday over-ear headphones from Audio-technica, Sennheiser etc. As mentioned above, I'm reading good things about this one from various places, but compromising too much on sound quality is not warrented at my first step towards wireless, thats why probably I'm being overtly apprehensive. :D

I too am eagerly waiting to get my hands on the headphones but the shipping is taking too long.
And I have used sennheiser HD202's for over 2 years and I hope the AH07's sound at least as good as them.

Have you received your headphone? Any updates regarding the build quality, soundstage, fullness of sound, base-mids-highs comparison?
