Just got mine and so far quite impressed. Is there any consensus on burn-in time?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.
I just wanted to show how the rocket jack doesn't go all the way in to my X5 with case pulled down:
Here is my custom cord jack which goes all the way into my X5
So what do you genius's think about that???LOL!!
It does fit the 3.5mm socket. Just that it pops out easily. DAPs like DX50 that does not have a tight 3.5mm jack will experience this problem.
Sorry, forgot to mention that the plug keeps loosening and I continuously lose a channel and have to keep pushing it in. The Rocket plug doesn't fit the Fiios X5.
...... But I believe the bottom line is that the Rockets were designed as a sports IEM, not a Headfi sound machine. It just happens to sound exceptionally clear compared to their other lines most likely due to not having a bass driver and/or decreased bass in tuning, just like my AS2 sounded initially until Dale removed sound-deadening material around my tweeters, then I heard the highs, LOL!!
So I will either put up or shut up, splice another cord to the existing cord, or return them to Earphone Solutions for a refund then try to find an IEM that has similar SQ but has the comfort bells and whistles I like. Currently I'm thinking of the FAD Heaven V unless you might have other suggestions???? Cheers,
