There have been a few times over the last while where I've encountered mumblings of previous efforts to coordinate avatars to a theme. Unless I missed one completely, I think it's been quite some time since this was done and I figured it might be fun to try it again.

The theme? Post a ridiculous picture of yourself.

Something embarrassing. WORK SAFE embarrassing. Hey, if we're all doing it, then there's no shame, right?

I'll start out with a picture I've already earmarked for this. Can't post it until tonight, but I think it should be... "inspiring".

Any takers? Let's make August 2007 a month of mugshots and mayhem!

Indeed you did. The idea here is (hopefully) a boat-load of us catch on to this and participate as an avatar theme for August.

Considering some of the personalities around here (yours included), it could be a lot of fun.

The assault rifle brandishing, Farleyesque Señor; dressed for an extreme latitude alien destruction mission (à la The Thing); daintily framed by a country kitchen’s valance and produce border is the clear stand out.

A platonic observation: the blue gingham brings out your eyes, sailor. I hope you'll consider a do-rag from the same material some day.
