i just got an audiotrak prodigy 2nd hand, and it plays great at first, but once it gets to the 2nd or 3rd song, it will suddenly have a lot of hissing and crackling.... when i try to change my latency, the problem will be solved, but only for a while, it will come back again in 2 or 3 songs' time....

may i ask what is the problem here? i'm changing between 128 and 256 latency....thanks....

First: with what do you change the latency if I may ask? What are you using? (i.e. Kernel streaming/ direct sound/ ASIO4All/ Native ASIO)

And second: for what purpose are you using your card? (i.e. playback/ recording)

Third and final: what is the soundcard connected to? (i.e. DAC with toslink/ DAC with USB/ DAC with coax/ nothing at all)

Edit: btw, welcome to Head-Fi

hi friend, i'm happy to report that i solved the problem, by downloading the latest driver from the korean audiotrak site.... great card, but it makes all the bitrate 128 stuff sound bad....

thanks!

That makes all of it a lot easier.
