AudioQuest NightHawk Headphone Unveiled Today
Jan 21, 2015 at 11:46 AM Post #226 of 957
If anyone's interested, I reached out to Audioquest about the Liquid wood and they told me that they were using a supplier in Germany and that it appears that the product being used is very similar to the product used for the Flaxwood guitars. I got a really nice response from Skylar.

I took myself off the list I was on for the first shipment of Nighthawks. I still plan on getting them but I want to see a few reviews and or Audioquests upcoming line-up.

There was a pre-order list? Where?

Perhaps I'm blind but I can't find anything there for the Nighthawk..

Or, go to your local Audioquest dealer.  Those who are ordering any are going to order them now; Audioquest is going to take awhile to produce enough for retailers to keep any in stock.  Initial shipments will be first-come, first-serve, so if you want to have them when they start shipping you need to get on AQ's list.

Wow and the preorder price is only $600... I'm sold if that price sticks. These will be mine

now I am less excited about the HE-1000

EDIT: http://www.audioquest.com/pdfs/aq_cable_theory.pdf

Here's a neat little article about the progression of their cable manufacturing process and types of OCC copper. They really put a lot of effort into the cable they are pairing with the Nighthawk and I can't wait to hear these bad boys at the SoCal CanJam

Right? Pocket change. I make that in like an hour.

Hehe every year I get an income tax return and part of that goes to splurging on my new headphone of choice. Last year it was the Alpha Dog. This will be the year of the NightHawk

Is it going to be that easy to hold onto your money till it comes out? You won't be spending time on the forums reading about headphones people already know how they sound and then want to buy them more?
