Radical Face - Ghost

By far, my favorite vinyl album to date...if you don't have vinyl...pick it up anyways. It's good stuff.

You could always pick up some test/sampler cd's from Macintosh, Naim, Linn, Chesky, etc.

I've enjoyed the Chesky recordings very much. Great for appreciating soundstaging, airiness, imaging characteristics of your headphone. And damn nice jazz music too...I would recommend the Ana Caram albums if you like bossa nova jazz

X2, I'm listening to Chesky's 10 Best CD right now. This is a great sampler.

I too forgot to mention the unplugged stuff (clapton/alice in chains)
In that vein, try Michael Hedges: Beyond Boundaries. Aside from good recording, it is simply some of the most beautiful music ever made with a guitar, imo.

Tortosie - TNT sounds awesome.

I'd totally agree if it wasnt kinda hard to find or so much money when it is on ebay. Tortoise really needs to repress everything they have ever made on vinyl.

Plus I like It's all around you better.

2nd Allison Krauss. Pretty much anything from her is gold.

Some Devil, Dave Matthews I like a lot too.

Oh and, all the Decca recordings of Ashkenazi conducting or playing Rachmaninov. Maybe not all of them are strictly audiophile, but they all have a warmth about them that's pleasing.
