I have a project for school were I need to design a magazine cover for a pre-existing magazine, and with my new found interest in headphones and all things audio and electronic I figure it would be a good to use an audiophile magazing for my template. I need 8 different magazines for "research" but only 1 to do the final work, I will certanly post my results, but I need help finding these elusive magazines.

There's "The Absolute Sound" and "Stereophile". Those are the two that I read. I don't know if you can count the Music Direct catalog, even though its pretty much magazine length. I find TAS and Stereophile at Barnes and Noble where I live.

Coupole of others off the top of my head:

The $ensible Sound (http://www.sensiblesound.com/), Audio Xpress (http://www.audioxpress.com/ an audio DIY mag). Also The Audio Critic (http://www.theaudiocritic.com/), and Positive Feedback (http://www.positive-feedback.com/) (though both now web only I think),

Though it's web only, Tone Audio is published as a PDF, so it's like a print pub in terms of layout and it does have a cover. Click on the "Download PDFs" click at the top of the page here: http://www.tonepublications.com/toneAudio.htm

Once you get past Stereophile and The Absolute Sound, you'll find the graphic design of most high-end pubs a little dissapointing, I'd guess. Though the Tone Audio book is very slick.

Try:

1. The Absolute Sound
2. Stereophile
3. The Sensibile Sound
4. HiFi+ (British)
