looks a LOT like a 770 with a boom mic

an understandable move on Beyer's part - Sennheiser has been doing this for years with the PC350

how could it possibly?

crosstalk could be an issue with the sound output leaking into the microphone, but the mic signal is so low level that it would most likely not affect the audio signal at all

Haha, this is an OEM'ed Beyerdynamic MMX300 (which is well, a DT770 32ohm with boom mic).
Nothing to see here really.
It's like how the Alienware range were OEM'ed Ultrasones.

If you haven't noticed, 'partnership with Beyerdynamic' = OEM'ed Beyerdynamic.
