About 22minutes in, he shares some news about an R2R dac they've been working, which seems promising even they did not expect much at the start. Talking 20kUSD figure / free upgrade for recent owners of top end AN dacs (if it turns out it demolishes their current line, which appears so).
The cynics may see in this a good way to efficiently amortise expensive R&D for resistors but I was impressed with the honesty of the talk.
Probably out of budget for many including myself, but always exciting to hear about revival of discrete dacs!
