I don't use a clip with them. Granted, I've only used them outside ~3 times. They're just so ugly it's embarrassing.....
....nah :p

Great video!

Thought you were being serious for a minute there until I noticed the "nah"

Hello to all, this is my 1st time here and I've been following this thread from the very beginning, since I got my CKN70s almost 2 months now. For those asking about which are the best tips in order to get the best sound out of your CKN70s, well, in my experience, I have tried with different tips (FX40s, MH1Cs, Hybrids and the Sennheiser double flanger for instance,) but I wasn't really that satisfied until I tried the large (L) clear white tips from my Philips SHE3590s and ....... guys, this was really shocking!

to Me. My CKN70s sound, is completely out of this world now. They literally floored me all over. I could not believe how much was the sound improvement. Clear crystal highs,No peakiness or sibilance at all, you have to listen to that Bass quality now, adding more stage. This tips have provided me one of the best seal I have ever experienced. So, for those of you who happen to have some OLD PHILIPS SHE35XX eims, get them out of the dust, and play with their tips and your gems CKN70's, trust me, they won't gonna disappoint you.

PS,
I have burned my CKN70s for about 500hrs. I have to tell you, my CKN70s with those Philips SHE35XX tips, have become now in the best iems sound I have ever enjoyed and experienced so far.

Thanks for sharing your discovery of what the Philips SHE35XX tips do for the CKN70s! They transform and improve the sound signature exactly as you say. Nice find Jqool!

Yes, actually - though the 70s have better resolution and imaging, the 50s have a fuller and more even frequency response (going by my ears, haven't seen any graphs). The crispness and cleanness of the 70s are great, but I'd like them more if they were less V-shaped and had a signature more like the 50s. For rough rock or metal recordings that profit from warmth and don't need a magnifying glass on the details, for example, the 50s are definitely better in my book.

Interesting. Do others agree on this?

I primarily listen to female vocal trance (streaming from DI.fm). Should I go for CKN50 or 70? I love my current ATs (see sig) but want a little more of everything...especially in the bass department probably.

Can someone compare the ckn70 to the ckm500? Thanks:wink:

If CKM500 > CKM50, then I wonder how the CKN50 compares in the spectrum, especially for vocal trance. Then I want to know about CKN50 vs. CKN70 for this genre as well.

Think you're gonna like the CKN70s much better for trance mate, few people have them on here and they seem to be very happy.

Btw if you love trance please feel free check out my trance mixes on my mixcloud.

Budget is $100 or less. I've learned my lesson after buying a $300 IEM or so. The best IEM I've owned so far is my $40 CKM50...
