Msr7 is definitely more edgy than 50x....
Msr7 has a more modern slick finish to the look...
both has good definition to the bass...
i dun listen to rock/metal so ...hmmmm

I have heard deftones and pantera and the msr7 kept up really well with speed. I was left wanting a little more bass when listening to those genres.

Hello, I would like to ask you about what is your music player ? Do you use any eq ?

Do not use eq and the metal tracks were from my AK120 and Pure 2 amp.  I mainly use my iPhone 6 plus and I also have the Fiio X1 and E11K if you need me to test on those.

I see... thank for your information. I always listen the music from my sony xperia z1 with bass boost eq (Clear bass +7). So I think the bass quantity will not be less than it should. I'm thinking about getting sony wh m504 to use as a bluetooth amp too.

And if u get theWH-M504, its no longer being used as just an amp. U are also using the internal DAC.

Heh heh heh I still use clear bass + 7 with my v-moda crossfade m-100 right now.
 
It is good that m504 would be an external DAC/amp for my z1 because I don't like to have another player in my pocket.

really curious about a comparison between msr7 and es10, which are now nearly at the same levels of pricing in japan. an extra esw9 would be great too!
 
i mean, my question is : why would anyone bother to buy a msr7, when there is the appraised (and cheaper) esw9, and the bigger drivered es10 ?

Esw9 is an On Ear..wood cups...real leather..mellow...warm sounding...gets better with a portable amp.
Msr7 is edgier..more impact on the bass.

I m quite surprised to hear that the MSR7 is more expensive than ESW9 because it is certainly not the case in Singapore. ESW9 is selling for 438SGD whereas the MSR7 is 268SGD (LTD is 288SGD) Are you sure you got the prices correct?

Yeah I'm Singaporean too and the prices are nearly 2 times the difference. I'm pretty sure u got someone got the prices wrong
