Why are you letting you pair go, if I may ask?

Sure. I just prefer the overall sound of my CKR10's a lot more. Just sounds a lot more cleaner overall. More mids and treble without really losing on the bass.

On the CKS1100, it just seems the mids were scooped out and the bass emphasized maybe 3 or 4 more decibels.

Of course, it's probably much more complicated than that but that's the gist of what I'm hearing.

I also didn't really enjoy the huge housings. It wasn't uncomfortable but I don't really expect it to stay in my ear for a walk.

I like a more mid forward and warm signature with slight treble sparkle enough to give a sense of space and detail (CKR10), and my ears are quite small so someone else may enjoy these a lot more than I do.

It is for those reasons that I am selling the ATH-CKS1100.

hey i just bought your CKS1100 Feilong4, i'm the third owner now...so im thinking these would have enough hours of burn in to make a decent impression. I think audio technica really nailed it with the CKS1100. Has lots of air and probably the largest soundstage I height and width in an iem i have heard. More than IE800 and FX850. Awesome out of head feeling. The attack and DECAY (really want to emphasize how incredible the decay is). And of course instrument placement, separation, and layering is fantastic as well. The only issues i'm having right now are ear fatigue and trouble adjusting for a tight, sealed fit. But what I've heard for the last 2 hours has been top-notch sound. Wow.

I now have the CKR9, CKR10, CKS1100, CKW1000anv, CKS1000LTD coming in a few days, and the IE800. So far I think the IE800 is a good sidegrade to the CKS1100. IE800 sounding more clear is the main difference here. Also, I think the CKW1000anv has been dethroned(in my case) since CKS1100 has arrived.

But man do I really miss the bass slam from the CKS1000. Cant wait to hear it's limited edition!

Glad you're liking them! I guess the overall sound signature just isn't for me.

Can you do a side by side comparison of the CKR-9 and the CKS1100?

yeah sure, im currently in the honeymoon phase with the cks1000ltd and its another one of audio technica's best!

i'll do that CKR9 and CKS1100 comparison later today using stock tips and iPhone 5S.

I can say that the CKS1100 has qualities from the CKR9. It's like a fusion of CKR9 and CKS1000.

I look forward to the comparison

Im currently using JVC spiral dot tips. Apparently , they DO improve the sound of the CKR-9s.( I was skeptical about the PERCIEVED difference when i read about it at first)
The wider soundstage and better instrument separation was the most noticeable improvement .Highs were also a bit more detailed and sparkly.
Sibilance levels were also a touch lower. Fit was deeper.

I still wonder how its possible
