Mine arrived earlier today. I have the ATHA5050H so I am curious about this amp. It sounds great so far but I think a switchable power supply may be holding it back some. I am debate if I should get a local friend to build a dedicated linear Power supply for it.

Man I want your MDR-R10.

I’ll gladly trade any audio-technica headphone you want for it lol

What kind of service did you do on the MDR-R10?

Iconic headphone as it is, one does wonder regarding anything performed on it, how it is done.
Is your example an early, mid or late production - bass light or bass heavy version?

I just refoamed them with parts from ES Lab. Sound better now with better bass output. Mine is probably medium bass version. Serial Number in the mid 300s or so. Utterly smitten by the sound now. I don’t think I have ever heard them this good sounding and I bought them as a NOS in 2007 or so. This pair is likely mfr in 1989 or early 1990s.

I have AT BHA100 headphone amp, and looking to upgrade its power supply( With Sound warrior SWD PS10) Anyone can help me with the DC socket inner and outer diameter on the back of BHA100? Is it EIAJ5 (outer diameter 6.5mm, inner diameter 4.3mm, center pin 1.4mm).?

I use this on my BHA100 with very good results. I will check the DC socket and get back to you.

Thanks, i was not aware of Fiio PL50 LPS, so PL50 comes with a compatible DC input socket cable that perfectly fits into BHA100 15V DC in?
No it doesn’t, but you can DIY a little and use the right socket.

Hello, Fiio technical support replied that PL50 cannot provide enough current to BHA100 hence not recommended, their reply as below:

“Thank you for reaching out to FiiO!
The PL50 cannot provide enough current for your BHA100, it is not recommended.”
