Audio Technica AD-A700 vs Allesandro M1 vs. your recommendations

in that case I will probably go for the ath-ad700, but how good are they for rock music like say rise against. is the bass eminant? not overpowering but audiable. and thankyou to everyone who has posted. it has been a great help.
