Hello,
 
I need some better headphones for my new Sansa Clip+.
I already own two pairs of on-ear neckband style headphones that I tried: Sony MDR-G42 and Panasonic RP-HG11 and I also tried 3 or 4 very cheap in-ear (I don't know if I shoul call them monitors). Between these I prefer the Sony MDR-G42 for a more natural sound to my ears, as the ear-canal earphones that I tried produce a boomy, "barrel bottom", closed sound that is not natural and I don't like. I like to push up a little bass and treble in the EQ but not to overdo it.
 
I read that generally headphones with a larger driver produce better sound that IEMs, but this I suppose is relative to the specific models you compare.
I only want neckband or in-ear. No headband or earbuds. And I'd also like to know if better quality in-ear type produce more natural open sound comparable to on-ear type headphones.
My budget is up to 60 USD.
So if I don't care about noise isolation or form factor which of these headphones produce better audio quality?

And will PMX-60 / 90 / SHS5200 be better than Sony MDR-G42?

I used to be a big Sennheiser fan, however now Sennheiser headphones seem to be quite overpriced(especially in the US) when compared to value brands such as JVC and Panasonic. If you are in Europe, then Sennheiser headphones aren't nearly as expensive as in the US, and JVC and Panasonic headphones are higher priced in Europe than in the US. Europeans should also consider AKG headphones. In the US the AKG headphones don't seem to be priced as well as in Europe.
 
The JVC HA-FX40 IEM sounds great and is only around $20 in the US. It has great detail and clarity. The Panasonic RP-HJE355 IEM also has great detail and clarity, but has a warmer balance overall. It is also only around $20 in the US.  
 
If you must get a neckband headphone, then consider the Koss Sportapro. It is around $22 in the US.

I'm in Europe and I cannot find the JVC HA-FX40, or the Panasonics, only found JVC HA-FX1X, HA-FX5B, HA-FX35.
Then I found the rave opinions about Philips SHE3580 / 3570 here:

The Philips SHE3570 I can buy very cheap and I think I'll give them a try.
I can also buy the Radiopaq Jazz or Pop for about 12 EUR.
Is the Radiopaq better than Philips SHE3570?

L.E. : Got the Philips SHE3570, and I like them very much, minus the cord which is stiff. Great deep bass, not boomy, good clarity. A bit harsh highs but I hope they get better with use.

I haven't heard the Radiopaq Jazz, but have read several reviews of it. At just 12 Euros it seems like a great bargain! I wish I could buy it for $15.
