Audio Performance and MacBooks Different USB Ports

I'm pretty sure thats the same with all usb ports that connect to 1 bus.

If you have something drawing more power on 1 port, the other ports in the same BUS will suffer.

Maybe, but the author is claiming different performance between the two USBs. I was having dropouts with my Pico and recently it went away. I thought it was likely a software issue and disappeared with a few updates (including iTunes), but it may have been the USBs used (I'm not consistent). Interesting it never happened when watching movies (which is in full screen and affects power states). Hmmm, will have to test in the next few days.
