A few days ago, I bought a set of Home Essentials "4 Rubber Coasters" at Kmart. I wanted to save the surface of my Bright Star IsoRock 4 from any possible damage from the Vibrapods I had ordered. Since I had not received the Vibrapods yet, I--as any audiophile with an inquiring mind would--tried just the rubber coasters under the feet of my Music Hall CD25.2. I report that I did notice a subtle difference. The bass seemed a tad tighter and there seemed to be more air around the instruments.
I now have the coasters where I had intended: beneath the Vibrapods (Models 2s). Together, this duo of pods and coasters (which can be had for under $30) has really cleaned things up. The soundstaging is better, and a certain haziness has been lifted. I encourage you to try these coasters, especially if you have a finished surface you need to protect. The coasters are black, and are a nice size for the Vibrapods. They are even a good match for the color of the IsoRock 4.
Let me know if you have any questions.
