Hopefully I am posting in the right place. Being powered by USB I figured this would be considered portable? I was wondering if anyone else has used it and how it compares with others in sound quality. To be honest, buying an amp was way way down the road for me. Today, one of my clients, who runs AudioEngine USA, brought a demo unit in with his guitar to repair. I hooked it up to my laptop and am impressed.
The sound quality improved. It was subtle. Fuller overall sonic experience, no unwanted EQ changes. Most importantly this sucker gets rid of my noisefloor so I can use my T70p and Shure se535 with my laptop so that is pretty cool. I'm thinking about buying one now. I'm about done with his guitar and he will want this back, haha!
Any amp advice would be good. I'm blown away, but then again, I have nothing to compare this with.
