Audio Bone "Ear-Free" Headphones

There were a couple "bone conduction" headphones on AudioCubes. They appeared to be more standard over the head style, versus the behind the head style band of these.

I remember when the original Bone Fone came out. I tried to convince my father to order one. While the concept is interesting, if it was really that good I would think it would be more popular by now since it has been around so long.

I would assume that to someone who can ONLY hear noises via this type of thing, that they would sound great! If I went deaf in one of teh ways that this would work for me, the first thin I would do would be to buy at least one pair of bone conduction headphones...

Has anyone heard anything like this? I want to try some out, but they are out of the pricerange for random experimentation.
