Audio Advantage Micro?

What do you think of this to replace my awful AC97 sound on the laptop? At this price I'm hardly expecting miracles, but my budget is very limited this month. Would it be an improvement at all?

Mostly noise reduction. But you'll definitely need an amp with IEM's, primarily to attenuate the volume as it's too loud even with windows volume control.

It's pretty cheap and small, so go for it. I bought one for use with my Fujitsu P1610 which has a really noisy headphone output.

I added one to my PowerBook G4 and it really helped.
Audio Advantage added quite a bit more drive (electrical) and so drove my SR80s much better. Also, the AA adds an optical output opening up the possibility for upgrading to a DAC [and amp].
