Audigy 2zs digital cable

Hello,

Could anyone tell me what kind of digital cable the Audigy 2zs use? It doesn't appear to be optical and the termination is not a regular coaxial. Also, if anyone know where to get it I'd like to know?

You can use mono Mini plug to coax adapter to adapt it to a regular coax digital audio cable.

If you mean mini-jack to RCA cable then, you can use normal stereo mini-jack to 2xRCA cable too ... IIRC, the left RCA connector carries the signal then.

The Audigy outputs optical from the headphone out (if you look inside the headphone out you'll see glowing red LEDs, kinda nifty). You need a mini-toslink cable like this one to hook it up to your DAC. Or you could use a mini-toslink adeptor if you've already got a regular optical cable. Send me a PM if you need the adeptor, I'll send you mine for free.

I think only the LiveDrive unit has an optical out, I may be wrong.

but my Audigy2 ZS certainly does not.

The digital port on the back of an Audigy 2zs is not optical. The mini-to-RCA is the right cable. Creative sells a mini-to-din that lets you use the digital speakers they made for a while.

There's an optical port on the drive bay, if you have that.

Thanks a lot for all your responses and offers.

I don't have the drive bay, I was referring to the first connection on the card itself. So, apparently the right one would be the mini to rca. Unfortunately, Radio Shack is not very well stocked here in Costa Rica but I will give it a try. I found an adapter at Headrooms' web page but it cost $1 and the shipping $10.

If I don't find it here I'll probably get that one.
