I messaged via their website after seeing your post last night so thanks for the heads up. Got an email back this morning saying they had been delayed - strange that as the website implied they had them in stock when I placed the order. Seems like Analogue Seduction just take money for items they don't even have.

Apparently they were going to be emailing everyone today to let them know (yeah, right!). Anyway, they are cancelling and processing a refund (which seems strange of they pads are only delayed?). Anyway - I paid via Paypal also so will take it up with them if I don't see the refund over the next couple of days.

If I play at full volume for maybe 1hr-2hrs, I already hear the first "low battery", isnt this WAY to soon? Even tho my battery life is about 10-12hrs. Not with full volume tho.

Hi there,

Despite all negative feedbacks here, i'm very positively surprised by the product i just received. Obviously sound is really good. Even on the mic that many have criticized, i was expecting worse (NB: not using discord). I do get the white noise when not listening to anything; even when muting the mic with the hardware button, it stays hearable albeit reduced. The bluetooth handling is very well done in my opinion: when the phone rings, i still get the chance to mention in a VC call that i have to respond to my phone, mute the VC, and respond to the phone.

The sidetone does not have any latency (as i had on Turtlebeach), but my issues (from most critical to less critical):
- you can't walk around phoning because as soon as you go out of range of the dongle, the lady starts complaining with "connected", i really really hope this will get fixed
- sidetone level is not configurable; i prefer a much higher level, i hope that future updates will allow to configure it
- the OS cannot control volume, you must use the hardware wheel, this is a bummer; strangely, it does support setting audio to 0%, which mutes it; so it means that regardless of the volume you set, it does not impact anything until you reach 0% which means mute. The mute control also works
- the microphone gain (bottom wheel) does not reflect on the sidetone, so you don't know what the other party is getting; left it around 85%

Actually my previous assumption that Linux volume does not work at all is not correct
- alsa mute works
- volume kind of works but the scale seems wrong, with level 0% (-64 dB) sound is still hearable, then at the next Gnome/pulseaudio increment, 4% (-55 dB) the sound goes "max" and up to 100% it's not changing

Damn, I received my Penrose X and 0.1.5 was preinstalled on it, I've read a lot about "future update that removes wind sound from left earpad" and hoped that It was already released. It bothers me a lot. I should say that among all previoy complaints my Penrose X have only tightness problem(only headband, the tightness of earcups disappeared with time) and wind noises. Everything else is fine or at least acceptable, so maybe all other problems were fixed with X release.

I dont have any wind noise from the left earcup. I got this white noise a little bit, and last night i had the crackling and popping. Very annoying..... i hope this will not happen alot. Rest seems ok...

I was able to enable software volume control on Linux by following this: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=110311#c11

It basically ignores the hardware volume controls (which have no effect) and uses software volume control instead; in the end i am getting proper volume control. Note that instead of rebooting, you can run udevadm control --reload-rules then unplug/replug the dongle.
