I wonder how many Mobius are going to be shipped out tomorrow.

Getting excited!
I'm pretty sure they're just shipping from the factory to the shipper, if they're on schedule. But, it will mean they're on the way!

Does the mic work deattached? If you want to use it as a headset in public.

How exactly would that be possible? If you remove the mic of course the mic wont work any longer.

Sound quality wise I would say they are damn near the same. I put a pop filter on the boompro to help it a bit. I also like the boompro because it's just more convenient to have the 1 wire rather than 2 with the modmic and headphone wires. If the headphone allows for it I would go with the boompro everytime.

Yeah, it's really good quality. The tonality of my voice is off due to compression, but other than that, there is nothing to complain about.

One thing to note is that outgoing mic volume and mic monitoring are both tied together, so if you wanna hear your voice more clearly, it will also raise your voice to everyone else.

That's a -terrible- feature.

Where do you get 2? ModMic is 1 cable, boompro is 1 cable. Right?

Boompro is a combined mic/headphone cable.

Only works with cans with replaceable, single input cables.

Ohhh, I see! It replaces the whole headphone cable! Neat. But yeah, limited to what headphones it fits, and most likely interferes with the audio signal quality.

In the comments of that review "For $400 I was expecting 3-50kHz and somehow would last over 100 years of usage, but well I guess I'm asking for too much. But if you ask me it looks like a $100 pop headphone and probably die in 10 years, lol who knows, just another overly price head ware asking to be stolen xD hehehe. I love music and a good pair headphone is a good thing to have but for $400, even for studio use is asking a lot for a wireless and I still don't think wireless sound device tech is there yet in my opinion."

Haha think that guy would get an aneurysm if he saw the LCD4.

Ok, so I found out that it was my USB hub that for some reason would make the microphone not pick up my voice anywhere near as good as it's supposed to. I switched inputs to its own usb port, so here is the test.

Notes: It sounds nasally compared to the good analog headsets tested, likely due to more voice compression to lower ambient noises. If you wanna compare to some others, just click on my soundcloud page. It's nothing but mic tests of various headsets.

edit: Removed the songs that autoplayed for some reason.

Sweet. Thanks for the test! Mic sounds fine and I couldn't hear any background noise. Sounds kinda nasally due to compression but it seems pretty decent.
