I will move out of the address I listed on Indiegogo on August 31st and move into a new address on Sept. 3rd. So if my headphones are not on track to arrive before Aug 31st, I would need to change my address.

The problem with this is I have no way of predicting whether they'll arrive before or after August 31st until Audeze sends me a tracking number, at which point it'd be too late to request a different shipping address.
So depending on how fast the shipping is from China and how fast Audeze's rollout is (I'm #3218), there's a good chance my headphones will get refused by the postal service and get sent all the way back to China before I can get them shipped back to my new address :/
Change shipping address to a friend and have him ship them to you?

I'm pretty sure the chance for changing delivery address with Audeze has gone. A better option may be to contact the shipping company after the tracking number emails have gone out and request that your Mobius be forwarded to a new address.

Most shipping companies do not allow the recipient to change the address of an incoming shipment, as that invites theft (misdirecting someone else's incoming parcel to yourself).

You're right. My understanding was that they would do it for you if given the ok by Audeze. It may be easier for Audeze to sign off on package redirects than to change a bunch of addresses with their 3PL at this late hour in their shipping schedule.

Here's why it's clear to me that they we're pretty out to lunch with this review:
1) They didn't understand head-tracking, saying gamers don't move their head side to side much. But that's not the point. Tiny micro-movements helps the brain isolate exactly where the sound is coming from. Jude and the gamer head-fi dude (lol, sorry forgot your name) mentioned it wasn't until you stopped triiping out and moving your head around that you settled into it's real usefulness and it becomes natural.
2) They said they just turned the head-tracking off and then that the Asus had better surround sound. You can't turn the head-tracking off without also turning off the room emulation. basically you turn off surround emulation......even if you still can get multiple channels.....which I am not really sure if you can.
3) They thought $399 was a discounted price only available during pre-sale and that the Mobius was normally more expensive. They then went on to recommend other possible gaming headsets (like a $350 dollar one that "didn't have as good sound") based on assumed price and one with "better surround sound".

They didn't really seem to have a very thorough understanding of what they were reviewing and I have to wonder how long they even really played with it, while they we're not using it correctly. The video reviewer also complained about there being "too many functions" :p and wanted it streamlined, again demonstrating not understanding it's functionality at all.

Total waste of a read or an opportunity to review the Mobius IMO..... :)

My big question is why on earth would Audeze contact that guy and give him a mobius to review?? They are targeting gamers; but more so PC gamers since they don't do 5.1/7.1 emulation for console. So, they give a pair of these to self identifying console gamer, who tells everyone that the ASUS ROG Centurion has better surround sound gaming audio. They really needed to give a pair to an audiophile/gamer.

Sorry for a rant. I'm a bit disappointing after waiting several months for a review and this is the guy who had the privilege to review them? :rage:

He did a pretty good job on his lcd2c review so I assume they thought they were handing the Mobius off to someone who could recognize the groundbreaking tech and recognize the sound quality. https://www.themasterswitch.com/review-audeze-lcd2c Unfortunately I'm still scratching my head after reading his Mobius review. It's like the Mobius review and the lcd2c review were written by 2 different people.

I agree with you, it is kind of weird that there being advertised as gaming headphones but they haven’t been reviewed or even mentioned by most of the major gaming media outlets such as IGN, Gamespot, PC Gamer, etc…

Once I get my early bird pair I’ll expedite a real, detailed review of Mobius since I can appreciate all of the technological accomplishments. I hope to be wowed but I’ll keep my expectations low so that I can hopefully be surprised by the head-tracking experience and the audio quality, which is what most audiophiles’ priority is anyway.

But on the bright side, you get two back to back vacations lol! Hopefully your vacations aren't in the places currently melting... if you are in Hawaii perhaps you can just stop by the @Audeze office and borrow a pair .

I confirmed that https://www.youtube.com/bitwit will do a Mobius review, and so that he can unbox on camera (he is great at b-roll porn) I will be shipping my pair unopened the day that I receive them. I am not complaining because this is 100% my choice, but I won't get to experience mine for quite a while yet (I am in Ride the Waves tier ($259), so dunno where we are in the schedule yet). Knowing this is actually helping me not be so anxious about the minor delays .

I also plan on sending him another pair of Audeze for comparison purposes. He hasn't had a pair of Audeze for any significant period of time(more than a few minutes at a show), so he will really being doing two reviews and a comparison I guess. The ones that I have that make sense to consider comparing are the LCD3NF, LCD-XC, and EL-8 Titaniums (w/Cipher). If I ship him the LCD-XC to compare with, it would be because they are the closed backs closest to the Audeze "house sound" of the LCD2 & LCD3 that made them famous. This would be for him to be able to compare LCD-XC to Mobius and describe differences from that "house sound" for better or worse.

OTOH, the EL-8 Titaniums are much closer in price tier so the comparison makes more sense, but I am not sure if these have the same sound that made Audeze famous and fewer viewers are probably familiar with the EL-8 sound(?)... so he wouldn't be able to give his Mobius experiences relative to the traditional Audeze sound signature. Ideally I would send him all three, but he will probably have them for a couple of months to do his review, and I NEED at least 1 pair of closed back Audeze available at all times :D. I was also considering the LCD3s so he could compare to a planar open back to see how successful the Mobius are at recreating the benefits of an open back planar design and the Audeze gold standard sound.

So guys and gals, what would you rather have a review of the Mobius be compared to? LCD-XC, EL-8 Tits, or the wildcard LCD3?

Thanks for taking one for the team, must be tough to give up them for awhile.

I'd honestly like him to compare them to the best Bluetooth headphones, the best Gaming headphones, and a regular set of cans in the same price range. Doesn't per say have to be Audeze.but if I had to pick from your list I'd say the EL-8 titanium.

I hope more review is up

For gaming is akg712 are better than mobius

Will wait for review and demo to come out to see

But as i heard in 1 compact solution mobius may be the top line that why they give to gamer who cannot find flaw in sound.

I think they will release the review at the same time all over the world

Even audiophile reviewer say no good about it consumer still buy mobius

It a marketing scheme

I admit that i don't know much about BT headphones. I only very recently picked up a pair of WH-1000XM2 headphones to I could play with LDAC on my S7, and it is a pretty decent set of noise cancelling cans for $200. Not sure these would be in the same league as the Mobius... but are these the level of headphones you are talking about?

I also have a pair of Astro A50's I can chuck in the box, I think those are a pretty decent set of wireless gaming headphones (but not to the level of the new Arctis Pros for example), although the A50s have better support for consoles given that is what it seems they were made for (like consuming multi channel audio from consoles, even wireless, since I think their wireless is a proprietary-ish connection between their base station and the headset).

As for same price category normal headphones... the EL-8's kinda hit that mark given they have been going for $300-$400 recently from auth resellers. I could check a pair of Hifiman 560's in, but those are open so that isn't fair... or perhaps some Senn 650s or Focal Elears (both of those open AND dynamic so getting further away)... and then I would need to think about what amp/dac to chuck in for him too :D.

When considering the price tier... since Mobius include an amp/dac... would it be more fair to throw in a pair of $150-$200ish cans? (Fidelio X2s, M50x, HD600/HD650, etc.) headphones with a schiit stack?
