Audeze Mobius review / impressions

I meant that it's not just the automatic shutdown, it happens even if you power it off manually.

Come to think of it I haven't tried it with the V3 firmware.

On another note, does anyone know the settings to get it to work with Neutron for Android via USB using the cable that comes with the Mobius? Or is that cable not otg?

I know that these headphones will switch over to bluetooth when a phone call is coming in, but can you mix between bluetooth and wired sound? Like, if I have the mobius plugged into my PC, I want to hear the game I'm playing, but I also want to stream music from my phone simultaneously. Is that possible?

Since the hyperx cloud orbit S will support head gestures like the mobius, I'll probably just wait for those to release. I'm not sure if I really need the bluetooth functionality of the mobius. I tried a quick search, and couldn't see if this question was answered yet. Apologies if it already has been.

Yes. This works with Mobius when both inputs are connected.

Yeah this sounds great potentially, I can plug my guitar amplifier into the 3.5mm and jam along to tracks via Bluetooth.

I did notice something recently however, for some reason the 3.5mm input is much quieter than the Bluetooth or USB. Is this going to be fixed in the next firmware?

I believe @The Socialist Nerd was trying to get to the bottom of this a while back but we were all under the impression all inputs played back at the same volume.

I have a strong theory that using the 3.5mm jack does not turn on or enable the DAC unlike the USB-C or Bluetooth method. That's my guess.

If the volume controls and EQ settings work then that would imply the DAC is working

Hmmm... the lower volume output through the 3.5 mm jack relative to the other methods would be a software issue then?

Really? I thought it was changed where you could have simultaneous connection but not playback. Interesting... And awesome.
This is interesting to hear for me as well. I've had both a bluetooth and USB connection active at the same time (with both sources playing audio), and can never get simultaneous playback to work. My Mobius just plays one source's audio until I manually switch it back to the other source via a double press of the 3D button.

Has anyone else gotten this feature to work? What's confusing is that the Zendesk article titled "Simultaneous connection to Bluetooth and another source" only describes the feature in the context of answering/placing phone calls, and not listening to music or videos (which is what I imagine many of us are trying to do).

I assume that would imply that the aux connection isn't at line level.

As for two sources at the same time, I think Audeze meant that they both work, but not at the same time. You still have to switch sources.

Likely because the DAC only works one at a time.

Creative's Air can handle two sources (the Aux with any other), but that's because the Aux can be used without the built in dac. The Mobius can't do that.

Now whether the Mobius can auto switch as soon as it picks up an incoming call, is something worth testing. I didn't test the Mobius with phone calls.
