Audeze - Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (1-20-2025: Update On Stolen Maxwells)

The PS5 Edition uses Kraken shipment technology and is thus way quicker in availability. Thanks to the efforts of Audeze and SONY ICE Team the PS5 Edition should also also be a less stiff in how the pad surface aligns onto your head. This is a sidefeature of the Kraken shipment technology as the time and space warping feature naturally pushes the atoms of the glass infused Nylon to the max in a similar fashion as Ohno Continuous Cast does to copper and silver, just way more geometric and way denser.

Thanks to this technology I already hold the headset in my hands and play through Hogwarts Legacy, I just haven't arrived in body and mind yet to witness it as time stilll passes naturally for me. We simply aren't there yet to apply this tech to humans or living biomass.
Perfection.

Can anybody tell me what the certification process is from Microsoft? Is it just a piece of paper with approved stamped on it posted through the door and then good to ship or would something need to be updated on the headphones once cert is granted?

Looking forward to using the Maxwell @ Work.

The information for Teams Certification is outlined in these links below.

I have a hunch this user was asking about certification for Xbox, not for MS Teams.
Yes, to be more specific do we know what the process is once Xbox/MS grant certification for the Xbox version of Maxwell. Will all the units need firmware update for eg?

Thanks for the info. I’m not sure this is exactly what Audeze are waiting for though. They aren’t going for partner they just need cert for using the Xbox wireless protocol if I understand correctly

They do go through “Designed for Xbox” certification. Here it is on the Penrose X, for example.

Ah ok I didn’t know they had that. I’d still like to know what process is involved for Audeze once ms approve though. Is it just a case of ship the headphones or will each set need a firmware update or similar?
Its either optimize the OS or they might be already working on that in tandem with the Ps version and ship them out. Either way they will be most likely later than the PS versions.

There's a special encryption module on the Xbox variants as well, so there's no way to ship them out until MS certifies them. Whereas on Sony, even if they don't officially certify something, a lot of UAC1 gear will work just fine

That sounds too good to be true, to be honest. I'll wait for independent reviews. If the microphone really rejects noise that well, it'll be a game changer, and not just for gaming.

I wonder how well it'll reject non-constant noise, too. A dog barking, for instance, or someone shooting other people, if you live in the States.
