@Audeze I'm a bit confused with which EQ preset to use as a reference point. The Immersive preset is the one tuned to the Harman Curve 2018, correct?

I ask because a lot of recent measurements seem to put the default "Audeze" preset as closer to that target 🤔
We do not follow external curves. Audeze preset, Immersive, and Bass Boost would all lead to slightly lifted bass that will be tuned to preference on whether you want more linearity (Audeze), More energy in the treble along with that bass (Immersive), or just the bass, making it warmer in tonality (Bass Boost).

Hello, friends!

I got a doubt.

My Maxwells become unconfortable on warm days, after a few minutes using it. Any of you know any alternative for the pads, that would be "cooler"?

I just found one on Aliexpress that "promisses" to be "cooling" but I am not sure.

Thanks in advance.

It turns out I was getting a bad seal. With proper seal, I definitely find the Audeze stock preset to be the best for me. When I was getting a bad seal, the Immersive preset sounded better.

Man, these sound so good.

EDIT: It seems there's a bug with the software, it somehow triggers a channel imbalance, the only way to fix it is with some combination with settings reset and firmware re-install. I managed to fix and have uninstalled Audeze's software, hopefully I won't trigger it this time.

So, I bought this headset on Tuesday and am doing some gradual research.

The first bug I encountered was in the Android app. I did an export of EQ preset 1 to a file so I could then load it into preset 2. By default the program does this to the Downloads directory. When I tried to open the file for loading, it was grayed out - it couldn't be selected. I then made a subfolder “Audeze” in the Downloads folder and moved the saved file into it. Now from that subfolder the file loads fine. Maybe it has something to do with the number of files in the directory, because I have quite a few in my Downloads. I don't know how else to explain it.

The second observation has to do with SideTone rustling. A lot of people here have written that it's electrostatic noise. According to my 17 years of electronics design experience, this is not the case. It is a typical noise of ADC power supply circuits. To investigate it further, I would have to open the case, which would violate the warranty. But I don't want to do that.

I'm writing this so that developers will take notice and try to further improve a great product. Take it as constructive criticism, please. For my part, I am ready to contribute in any way I can :L3000:

Does anyone know if I'm able to switch between the EQ presents that come with the headphone (ie Audeze, Treble Boost, Bass Boost) using the headphone wheel controllers without the App installed? Or do I need to install the app to use these EQ settings?
You can change 'em on the fly right on the headset itself without touching any other device.

I'm amazed at how poor Audeze's customer service has been.

My child accidentally bent and broke the USB dongle. Since there don't appear to be any retailers in the EU selling replacements, I ordered one directly from Audeze.

I had to pay an extra $50 for shipping to the EU for the $15 dongle. Somehow, they managed to ship it halfway across the world to an incorrect address instead of the correct one specified in my order. This might have been FedEx's mistake, but from my perspective as a customer, that shouldn't matter.

FedEx informed me the package couldn't be delivered due to this error. When I contacted Audeze customer service and made them aware of the situation, they refused to send me another dongle. Instead, they're making me wait until the first shipment is returned to them before they'll attempt to send it again—hopefully to the correct address this time. The first delivery attempt to the wrong location was on 11th of April, and I still haven't heard anything about a new shipment.

A good customer service would have apologized for the shipping error and sent a replacement promptly, but that's clearly not the case here.

I have a big request for Audeze Dev team.
Please implement a sound balance option, it can be only inside the app.
I have a bit worse hearing in left ear and I need around 1,5dB+ on left side to have proper "soundstage" ;)

This is generally basic accessibility functionality that is forgotten by so many manufacturers.

I think this is a fair ask, and - in the least as the actual DSP goes - should be fairly trivial to implement.
That's not me suggesting I understand how trivial or not it might be to design and roll-out soft+firmware updates.

I like Audeze and in most all aspects my interactions with the company and their products have been very good, but I do rather get the impression that by this stage a calculation has been made that it's not worth continuing to develop this platform unless some computer OS or console updates threaten usability entirely. Maybe I'm wrong about that... I'd like to be.

For instance this : -
https://gearspace.com/board/new-pro...er-announce-immersive-virtual-studio-pro.html

Unless I'm mistaken, this seems to have died on the vine. I believe the issues are probably on the Embody side, rather than at Audeze's door. Prior to this, I had issues with the Reveal+ app as well. Embody did absolutely nothing, leaving the CS at Audeze to shrug their shoulders.

In terms of the virtual atmos studio side, this is a real shame, as it's this realm of application that was key to my buying into Maxwell to compliment my other Audeze planars I use professionally. The headphones are on the whole very, very good. But the software / DSP side to my mind could use more focus, development and support.

Have you checked if there’s a balance option in your source? I don’t know what your source is, but many phones do have this features buried in the phone’s settings menu.
