Audeze - Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (1-20-2025: Update On Stolen Maxwells)

Sorry if this has been asked a million times before but recently noticing more frequently a weird popping sound when I start media sometimes. Like a pretty like crackly pop. It doesn't happen when I move my head, it doesn't happen when I press on the earcup it's just sporadically during use and not often.

Is that a worry? A firmware issue? A dreaded planar issue?

Glad to know I’m not the only one who has this issue. It was actually even worse when I got the Maxwell on v60. Now it’s better, but still not gone. Hope it will be fixed with the next firmware update.

Updated and everything seems fine.
I still wish you guys would update the power saving. it doesn't have to be so aggressive. It cuts off first second of playback.

Btw - Are all new models got headband mounting screws replaced with blank pegs? or was that just a random batch?
How can I date my maxwell? I just purchased mine few days ago but it arrived... used but was sold as new. So I want to estimate the production date and return it. I want to buy from newest batch with most hardware fixes.
I am engineer in a production environment and I know how this stuff like internal revisions work :D
You can see the manufacturing date by checking the serial number. Example: „S6BHAM80054“ S would be for this year, 6 is for the month.

We apologize for the shipping delay on Maxwell Wasabi Limited Edition.

We have resolved the unexpected issue that caused this delay, and we will begin shipping Maxwell Wasabi this Friday, Nov. 15th.
Any chance of shipping some across to your UK distributor like you did with the UV release. £50 shipping plus customs on top makes the headset cost excessive over here!

What was the issue? You were very quick at shipping mine (ordered on 23. October and received it on 28. October in Switzerland) and there doesn't seem to be any particular problem. Anything I should be worried about? Or was it just a logistics issue?

I'm hoping I don't get stung too hard on customs, ordered the UV in the B-stock sale! It's been a long time I ordered anything directly from the states to the UK.

Probably won't be too bad in isolation especially if its compensated a little by the reduced purchase price - personally just don't want to turn a £350 purchase into a £450 one just for the new colour finish :p

Yeah, but I also put a t-shirt in there -- haha.
As long as it doesn't make it more expensive than buying a new one here then I guess I'm good. I much prefer the UV look to the wasabi colours, suits my personal aesthetic. But they didn't even ping up on my radar when they were released.
