I watched that video and have a question: how is the alignment of the Dekoni pad done before sticking it down? There was a mention of a screw.

I use my old picture and little Edit. I draw a line here (its not here its on the other side) - its "end of the textil, foam" you will see it. And basicaly you line up the line (end of textil) with the screw where is the earcup attached. But there is 50/50 chance, because it is attached by two screws. The solution is to put the "big" side on the rear and "small" size on the front size of headphones. They have a big angle, you will se it.
I can post few more actual photos when im home in like 5 hours later.

Alright, here is the EQ that I have created for my LCD-X 2021 headphone. Just note, due to driver variance that this may not be completely correct for using on your unit. The sound quality is just ridiculous on mine with this set. I am extremely impressed.

Edit: Sound continues to change, so EQ has been updated.

Pre-Amp = -5

20Hz = +1.5 Q 4.32
25Hz = +1.5 Q 4.32
30Hz = +1 Q 4.32
70Hz = +0.5 Q 4.32
80Hz = +0.5 Q 4.32
400Hz = +0.5 Q 4.32
500Hz = +0.5 Q 4.32
700Hz = -1 Q 4.32
1kHz = +0.5 Q 4.32
1.9kHz = +1 Q 4.32
3kHz = +0.5 Q 4.32
3.5kHz = +2.5 Q 4.32
4kHz = +1.5 Q 4.32
8.2kHz = +1 Q 4.32
11kHz = -0.5 Q 4.32
12kHz = -2.5 Q 4.32

With further burn in, the EQ may get changed slightly, but as of this moment, it is excellent sounding.

This is the actual photo i was talking about. You can cleary see the "line" and "screw" we were talking about. The biiig is rear, the small is front.

edit: Found nice photo when I was installing it. Left stock, right Dekoni.

Alright, here is the EQ that I have created for my LCD-X 2021 headphone. Just note, due to driver variance that this may not be completely correct for using on your unit. The sound quality is just ridiculous on mine with this set. I am extremely impressed.

Pre-Amp = -6

20Hz = +2 Q 1.41
30Hz = +1 Q 1.41
60Hz = +1 Q 1.41
400Hz = +1 Q 1.41
500Hz = +1 Q 1.41
800Hz = -0.5 Q 1.8
1kHz = +1 Q 4
1.2kHz = +0.5 Q 4
2kHz = +0.5 Q 3
3.6kHz = +3.5 Q 4
4.1kHz = +3 Q 2
4.8kHz = +1 Q 2
6.7kHz = +0.5 Q 3
8.5kHz = +1 Q 3
11.85kHz = -2.5 Q 4

With further burn in, the EQ may get changed slightly, but as of this moment, it is excellent sounding.

Here’s mine:
overall gain = -6.5

30hz = +6db (low shelf)
220hz = -.5db BW 1.01
500hz = +.6db BW 1.01
750hz = -9db BW 0.57
1800hz = +5.8 (high shelf)
2640hz = -2 BW 0.51
3800hz = +2 BW 1.01
5600hz = -4 BW 0.41
9000hz = -5.8 (high shelf)
12000hz = -2 BW 0.4

I ended up updating my EQ again to the following. With burn in, this headphone just keeps evolving and changing in sound. It is quite the little chameleon. This EQ is the best thus far for my LCD-X 2021.

Pre-Amp = -5

20Hz = +1.5 Q 4.32
25Hz = +1.5 Q 4.32
30Hz = +1 Q 4.32
100Hz = +0.5 Q 4.32
125Hz = +0.5 Q 4.32
160Hz = +0.5 Q 4.32
400Hz = +0.5 Q 4.32
500Hz = +0.5 Q 4.32
700Hz = -1.5 Q 4.32
800Hz = -0.5 Q 4.32
1.9kHz = +1 Q 4.32
3kHz = +0.5 Q 4.32
3.5kHz = +2.5 Q 4.32
4kHz = +1.5 Q 4.32
4.45kHz = +0.5 Q 4.32
5.5kHz = -1 Q 4.32
8.2kHz = +1 Q 4.32
12kHz = -2.5 Q 4.32

After using this headphone for several hours, I am surprised that so many people complain about comfort and weight. It may be my head shape, but this headphone fits my head like a glove. Funny enough, I only need to have it set to one notch on each side to get a perfect fit. The clamp is just perfect, and the weight is distributed nice and evenly. I am certainly not going to claim this is a lightweight headphone, but I really don't find it heavy at all.

That’s pretty been much my experience. It’s by no means my lightest or even most comfortable headphone, but especially the X I find quite easy to wear for long periods, including today.

This is the final EQ that I have come up with. The sound quality is just excellent.

Pre-Amp = -5

20Hz = +1.5 Q 4.32
25Hz = +1.5 Q 4.32
30Hz = +1 Q 4.32
100Hz = +0.5 Q 4.32
125Hz = +0.5 Q 4.32
160Hz = +0.5 Q 4.32
400Hz = +0.5 Q 4.32
500Hz = +0.5 Q 4.32
700Hz = -1.5 Q 4.32
800Hz = -0.5 Q 4.32
1.9kHz = +1 Q 4.32
3kHz = +0.5 Q 4.32
3.5kHz = +2.5 Q 4.32
4kHz = +1.5 Q 4.32
4.45kHz = +0.5 Q 4.32
5.5kHz = -1 Q 4.32
8.2kHz = +1 Q 4.32
12kHz = -2.5 Q 4.32

Damn, I am just loving this headphone. The LCD-X 2021 is just so good sounding once it has been correctly equalized. This is truly an audiophile piece of gear. I am very impressed. I have finally reached the point now that I just feel no need to look further. It looks like this will be my final headphone.

Same here. People (often people who have never tried them on) talk about the weight like it's a dealbreaker, but I honestly find the X far more comfortable than the significantly lighter HD800S. The X are heavy, sure, but the clamp, the weight distribution, the security of fit, and the softness of the materials that touch skin more than make up for it. The HD800S is light on the head, but they just don't stay put and that pad material is itchy. I'd take the X's comfort every time.

A bittersweet picture: my last evening with my OG LCD-X before I sell it to a friend for money towards an LCD-5. Never thought I'd sell these beauties in a million years. For a glorious while these were my endgame headphones, my pride and joy. It helps knowing they're going to a loving home and I'll have a new flagship soon, but I'm still going to miss the hell out of these babies. Well, one last listen before the end then...
