And my left side is dead. Bought these in May. The Deckard I had also needed to get sent in for repairs.

Audeze... I love ya, but... you're making it really hard.

My condolences for the dead driver, but Audeze will bring it back to life. I've had two driver failures on my LCD-3 and one on my LCD-XC. I've found the trick is to have backup headphones that also sound great. My current LCD-3 drivers have lasted 3 years, LCD-XC drivers have lasted 1 year.

But probably the best indicator that quality control has improved at Audeze, is that there aren't any folks bitching about it online anymore at

They took good care of me with my Deckard. I'd have backups if I could afford them, naturally.

Forgot I'd loaned my roommate my HD650 and he never uses them. Let me tell you, after the X the 650 sounds a bit lacking. To say the least.

Which is probably why the Amazon page says "Creator Package" and "sold by Audeze Headphones." You'd almost think this is Audeze's sale being done through Amazon or something.

Is there any difference build-wise and sound-wise with the regular LCD-X besides the naming and the lack of a travel case?

I'm hoping to pair an LCD-X with my Taurus MKII for classical and pop.
