Judging from my Apex Arete I am sure that the Sangaku will sound even better! I found the pairing very transparent and detailed.

You totally should get the Sangaku if you already have a DAC. So much more flexibility if you have both components separately. Much more alive and musical than the AGD amps too along with better clarity etc.

Try the lcd-x driven balanced by an excellent amp such as the Audio GD HE-9 and the let me know.This combo is my reference setup for audio mastering and critical listening sessions.

The Crack is an OTL design with high output impedance, it doesn't play nice with planars.

Just got my LCD-X! Wow. More resolving than the LCD-2F. Doesn't have the "fun" factor of the LCD-2F. I guess I'll just have to settle down and "waste" a few hours with them today to get use to them

believe me once i got the lcd x 2017 model, i barley even listen to my lcd 2 2014 fazor

I don't think I'll ever get rid of the LCD-2F. It's just too much fun to listen too. Liquidy and smooth. Sure it's less resolving, but sometimes I don't need all that detail. I'll probably use them when I do some writing. For now I'll just enjoy my time with both of them
