TLDR: It costs $580 (USD) to repair the Audeze LCD-X headphones.
The left-side diaphragm of my LCD-X tore in half. It probably tore because I had one side off my ear while singing, and the magnet assembly twisted slightly. I know it tore because it wasn't making sound, and I opened it up to see if it was a loose wire, or some other easy repair. No such luck.
Audeze said the only available repair is to replace all the drivers and ear pads (both left and right), for a cost of $580 (USD).
I don't remember whether that includes return shipping. But then I would have the latest drivers.
I love the sound of the LCD-X's, but after several months, I haven't decided whether to do the repair.
Posting just to let people know the repair cost, in case it isn't common knowledge.
