Audeze LCD-4

I just got a pair of 2F bamboos in and quickly comparing against the 4s - the 4s actually have the more liquid, smoother mids which surprised me! At this point, only the bass seems to be a bit better in slam (not quality) on the 2Fs. I'm honestly reconsidering buying my 4's back and just using a Lokius to add a little more bass quantity to them. I also need to consider a Burson amp to give them their full juice. I'm still floored at the level of detail these have where it's super easy to pick up on but not shoved in your face (similar to my HEK V1s). I agree that Daft Punk is a gold standard for testing out bass quality. That Homework album is a classic for a reason. I would recommend some drum and bass music too to add to the mix to flex some of it's treble and bass quality and nuance.

I had a good experience buying from The Music Room. They've got an LCD-4 on sale at the moment here. There are cheaper used options out there, of course, but, fwiw, they do offer a 14-day return policy and a 45-day warranty. I found their description of the cosmetic condition of the headphones to be nicely conservative; I was pleasantly surprised to find my pair in better condition than I'd expected.

Is that a Norne cable on yours? I'm trying to decide on what upgrade cable I should get for it. I've been burned in the past with really expensive and exotic metals in the cable to make very little difference to the sound or worse sound worse than the stock cable. I'm personally looking for a cable that helps the bass quantity a bit and keeps the mids liquid.

I would recommend a Norne copper cable. Large gauge. Not sure what name it is but easy to find on their website. I use a Silvergarde but it is very neutral where the copper will bring out the low end better.

I actually have that cable - it has a smoothing effect so while it actually does improve mid quality a bit I'm noticing it makes the sound too relaxed, instead of dynamic and punchy which is what I'm looking for. Thanks for the suggestion though. Some folks have said the Danacable Lazulli or pure copper should be where I should look instead of hybrids which makes sense.

Are you aware the cable i linked is pure copper (Noir HPC MK2)? I didn't link the hybrid(Noir Hybrid HPC). Which one do you have?
Oh sorry, their naming convention is very similar. I haven't tried that one - do you have any experience with it?
