That looks eye-poppingliciously good! I hope it sounds even better

That picture describe it best. I can't articulate any better than what that picture say about the SQ. 300b tubes are as curvy delicious as that dame. It's an eye and ears feast. :)

Did they reduce their weight lately?

I clearly remember them showing 730g on their spec sheet but now it's 690g, that's not a subtle change.

Early 2020 most reviews already said 690g
So of it was changed it's not been recently

2 and a half days since LCD4 arrived and I cannot remember a weekend that disappeared so fast in all of my life. A day after LCD4 arrived, the 300b amp arrived too. When you're having fun, time flies... literally.

You can listen to LCD4 in many flavours by using different amps. I've no doubt that a good solid state amp will reveal LCD4's true character. Conversely a good tube amp will send you into rapturous delights with natural, organic overtones. For me I found my magic moment using Destiny (300b amp) with LCD4. This will not be my only tube amp but the 300b amp has some very unique sonic tonal qualities I cannot do without now. For vocals, there will be no peers with this combination.

As for LCD4, I can only say that it's an amazing sounding headphone. It's a keeper for sure.

I had a similar experience with my LCD4 and the WA33. An oh wow moment. And this was after owning the LCD4 for several years.

Listening to mine the last couple of days after not listening for a couple weeks...what a great tuned headphone.
The weight has never been an issue for me.

I get mine back next week from Audeze repair. I miss them. The LCDX headphones are OK but not the same league as the LCD4’s. I got a Danacable Lazuli Nirvana cable for the LCD4’s. Nice cable but not inexpensive.

Nice one Joe. I've been wearing LCD4 for a week and my neck muscles have grown. Now it feels natural to me. The newly arrived 300b amp stole the thunder for the first few days but now I get more time to look at this headphone. The Madagascar Ebony wood just looks more exotic with each passing day.

The LCD4 sound wonderful on 300b amps. At least they did on my WA5le. Of course the WA33 sounds pretty good too. And I agree the Madagascar is beautiful.

Your arc has been the same as mine. LCD4 through first the WA5 then on to the WA33. We have impeccable taste. :gs1000smile:

I have sampled Wa5le for 2 weeks and heard Wa33 with Susvara only once at a HiFi show back in 2018. Both encounters have been wonderful. My recent experience of LCD4 were with Auris Nirvana at a shop for 2 hours. This left an indelible impression on me and set me on a course of wanting a LCD4 to run with nice sounding tube amps.

This morning I'm listening to music with LCD4 and my own 300b amp and a KT88 amp on loan from my local amp builder. Both just sound amazing with the Audeze.

I got my LCD-4 yesterday. I previously had the LCD-4z, and sold it. The LCD-4 sounds very good, going balanced, through my WA33 EE JPS. I like it better than the 4z. The number one thing I've noticed so far is that guitars sound crunchy as hell (which is a good thing :L3000:) .
