For starters, by its performance: Odin sensitivity of 104 dB / 1mW (even better than the LCD4 !); and for all users (experimented) French who had the chance to compare the ODIN at the  HE-6 (dub for example : http://www.head-fi.org/t/732814/new-kennerton-odin-planar-magnetic-magister-vali-headphones-cables-amps-from-fischer-at-ifa/105#post_11811568, and (in french) http://www.homecinema-fr.com/forum/post178642417.html#p178642417 )

Sensitivity has nothing to do with performance or sound quality; just how much volume you can get from a given amp. I read the link, but even using Google Translate, I barely got any usable info from it. My question was, "In what ways does it sound better, specifically?" The info you provided also does not specify whether the HE6 was modified and powered by a high-end speaker amp, which is necessary to get the best sound from it. (This is the consensus among all the serious HE6 owners.) If you have compared the two headphones, I don't see why you wouldn't simply put it in your own words here. But again, sorry to everyone for derailing into other topics. I was just curious about this.

To me they look absolutely gorgeous and the new headband seems nice. A very very expansive headphone indeed. Good that we have many other headphones that we can chose instead if we doesn’t like them or their price.

Interesting to read that some people doesn’t need to hear them before its performance is dismissed. Isn’t that we use to call biased?

Personally I would like to know how Audeze have dealt with the driver failure problem before I even consider get me a new Audeze thou.

This is exciting. I am happy to see they stick with their classic design.

If they really are 1200 ohm, it will make a difference on amplification. Audeze already changed the impedance from 50 (?) to 120 ohm on the LCD3, so high impedance planars - is that the next big thing?

Here is the specifications of the new Audeze LCD4

Jeez so much hysteria. Whilst headphone audio is going through a high price cycle, i will be surprised if this does not sell. The niche high end personal audio market is dominated by American and SE Asian forums, Audeze carry plenty of favour with the former. Look forward to demoing it myself :D
ours are on order lol

Wish they had some type of upgrade for lcd3f to change into 4. Instead of all the fixes that I keep sending in my lcd3 for.

New headband
New drivers in old lcd3 body.

I hope they sell the new headband as an upgrade to the other LCDs. Although the carbon fiber must be expensive too.

the same non-luxurious hard case with the same cheap-ass cable as their lowest end model.

On that note, it much surprises me that Audeze chose to leave a few things the same as the previous LCD's. Going from the pics it shows an out of place super flimsy cable, standard cable connectors and standard L/R plastics and indeed the useful, but totally unclassy travelcase.

For this type of money you'd expect a jewel in all areas.

the high-end headphone market is looking more like an arms race with each new release. am i the only one who doesn't like the carbon fibre look?

So for those who want to get that headband for their current Audeze, I guess the price will be something like 300bucks? :D

Would love to hear these against the Abyss. And the Odins, for that matter.

Shame so many people have had driver failures and whatnot with the LCD-3, quite off putting.

Also those left and right connectors are terrible cheap plastic. They keep breaking a become loose. When I first saw the Audeze. I thought they were metal.
