I absolutely will...errr, I mean, I haven't really decided if I'm going to get a pair yet...it may be the prudent thing to do with this bonus would be to put it in the bank for a rainy day. I'm sure sooner or later I'll be able to resist the tempation.

You're welcome! I'm buying these as soon as funds permit (unless the HE1000 blows me away even more, but the feedback concerning their 'softness' makes me think the LCD-4 are probably safe).

Nice, based on everything I've read, will be pretty hard to go wrong either way!
As long as nothing unforseen happens between now and the end of the year, I think I'm probably gonna pull the trigger on these the first week of January. Apparently either God or my boss wants me to have them lol
I say this all the time, but what a GREAT time to be into home audio...hell, I still love my little Grado SR80s for gosh sakes...use my less fancy headphones all the time. But to have such incredible products that get us closer to the music than we've ever been before, it's pretty great.

I wonder how well the LCD-4 will sell in China and Asia, as "4" is considered unlucky as it sounds similar the the Chinese word for "death".

And for a high-end audio product like LCD-4, I doubt most people in the target market would care. It's true for cars though, for example, Mercedes changed E250 to E260 with the exact same engine, Chinese will understand why
