I have been thinking of getting either the Audeze LCD-3 or LCD-X and I mostly listen to EDM. Which one of these headphones would you guys recommend for this genre, and why? What are the main differences in the sound signature between the two?

Definitely the X. X has punchier bass and more treble sparkle. 3 has a more even and full midrange and more natural sounding in general, but for EDM, that does not matter.

How about the Fostex TH900? I've heard that it has a strong bass and sparkly treble, which are good for EDM. Would you recommend the LCD-X also over the TH900 for EDM?

Fostex TH900 is even more extreme in the bass and treble, if you are not prone to sibilance problems they are great

So how sibilant are they exactly, is it impossible to listen to them on high volume levels?

on high volume levels if you are sensitive to forward treble they can split your head in half, they have take no prisoners approach, they sound different than lcd x, better for me can be worse for you
